{ Sweater: Romeo & Juliet // Skirt: F21 // Tights:? (sister's) // Flats: Payless // Earrings: H&M }
I'm a sucker for a good stripe. Not that I have anything against a nice polka dot, a fresh floral, but given me stripes (Breton, seersucker, horizontal, vertical) and I'll be your friend forever. I wore this outfit to synagogue last week for Megillah reading on Purim morning, and was pleasantly surprised to discover a pair of tights in the.exact.shade of the skirt I had on right before running out the door.
This is a big week, future-wise, in our two-state household. Tomorrow is my first committee meeting, a preliminary gathering of the four academics who will examine me for my comprehensive exams in two years. Commence nail-biting. Friday is match day, when we will *finally* find out where hubs will begin his residency this summer. Hard to believe that the med school journey is almost done...

Hi Nina,
I stumbled across your blog a while ago (since I have a minor addiction to mormon fashion blogs...) only to discover that I went to sem with your (engaged!) sister. It was so refreshing to have a Jewess take ownership of modest fashion as well. I was mighty disappointed during your extended siesta from blogging but I'm happy to see that you're back in the game. Also the interviews you post on modesty are a good platform for discussion about women, clothes and how we view ourselves.
Basically - welcome back and keep up the good work!

IM A NEW READER OF YOUR BLOG! I am enjoying it. Stripes are always in fashion! I like them also.
Congratulations and have a day full of wonder!

Stripes scare me! I think I'll look as wide as a bus! So when I wear stripes I tend to cover them up with a blazer, vest, or cardigan. Polka dots are VERY much my thing. I lovvvve me some good ol' polka dots.
Good news about your hubby and I hope your Friday goes well; I also hope your committee meeting went well.

This outfit has several of my favorite things: stripes, a pencil skirt, tights, pointy shoes...I love it! Also, thank you for your nice comment on my blog the other day! I don't leave comments too often either since I'm pretty busy with work right now and tend to speed read through the posts in my blog reader whenever I get a chance, but I've been enjoying following your blog lately too =)
I love stripes too, but suprisingly I don't have many stripes in my closet...maybe I should work on that :)
