Winter White

Back in August, I stalked this skirt on the Anthropologie website and watched it drop down in price in slight increments. When it finally slid below $50, I swooped in, and I am sincerely grateful to my August self for doing so. Who'd have known that I'd continue to wear a white denim pencil skirt well into the winter? I find the crispness of the white and sleekness of the profile match well with virtually any item. Like this chunky rust-colored sweater, which I have been wearing non-stop (or had been, before Mother Nature decided to go all Spring on us. Not that I'm complaining. Promise).

First of all, I'd like to thank you all for the fantastic response to the modesty survey. Thus far, I've collected 21 responses, and will begin posting them, one per week, next week. I've also created a link on my sidebar, so if any of you feel like filling it out and being featured in a blog post it is easily accessible.

In other news, I began going to the school gym in Philly. Since my time there is limited (Sunday-Wednesday, most weeks, since hubs is in New York), I had been finding that all I'd do there was work and watch absurdly idiotic television when said work was completed. Vampire Diaries, anyone? I decided to do something that while not intellectually engaging was a step up from vegging on the couch, and have been going regularly over the past few weeks. This past Tuesday night I met up with a friend for my first-ever Zumba class. In the middle of some knee-lifting, booty-shaking move of which I am just not capable, I turned around to find a male member of my cohort laughing at me (good-naturedly, I am sure) on the other side of the window. I probably would have turned bright red had I not been already. Note to self: never Zumba in front of the window. The other side of the classroom is now my friend.

Have you picked up any new hobbies?

This is a great outfit on you! The really like the layers of textures and colors that you used. It adds a lot of depth to the look. I've never been to a zumba class but my sister swears by them. She even participated in a live zumba class demonstration at a fall festival in her hometown. I'm sure you looked great zumba-ing and good for you for trying a new class.

I love it when Anthro has sales! I scored a few things while in New Orleans at their extra 50% off sale. I was SUPER excited!

ZUMBA: I've never participated, but right now my latest fitness hobby is indoor boot camp. The trainer is always yelling, "This ain't Zumba, so quit trying to look cute!!!" ha! So, this fitness thing is killer. Squat jumps, pushups, jump rope, pushing 50 lb bags of sand...junk like that.

Glad to hear you got 21 responses for the survey! I've yet to share it with my readers, but will do so this week. I haven't looked at the link on your blog, but if you had a button I would most definitely include it on my blog!

Happy weekend!

Chandra
