Simplicity

A simple outfit, the type to which I have been gravitating lately. Nothing more than some basic sandals, a tee and a large necklace for a sweltering summer day. I combated the heat by seeing Harry Potter at 3:30 in the afternoon with 2 sisters and a cousin. Thank you, gods of air conditioned movie theatres.
* striped tee-- Target * navy skirt-- DKNY * tan sandals-- Lucky Brand * statement necklace-- ? *
One week since the big chop and I am totally satisfied. Though my hair does take a bit more tweaking than before throughout the day (pesky cowlick at the back of my head, why won't you simply lay flat?) I love the feel of the wind on my head, the focus it brings to my face, and most of all, having a distinct style. Over the past few years and certainly since I began covering it, my hair was fine. Strong, shiny, soft-- but without a distinct perspective. I most appreciate the ability to convey my interest in the intersection of conventional and quirky style in all aspects of my appearance now, and the ability to wear the most basic of items-- a simple tee-- and feel put-together.
