Day 1of the 30x30 challenge and I am feeling pumped. Getting dressed this morning took approximately 3 minutes, 2 of which were devoted to figuring out which belt to wear.
* #3--F21 black and white chunky pullover * #24--H&M flowered dress * #26--CG black oxfords *
* black tights--H&M * brown leather cord belt--Zara * pearl ring-- gift from great uncle *dangly goldish earrings-- Chinatown store * black wool beret--Target *
Last time I wore this sweater, I felt like an Icelandic princess. Today, I'm going for Scottish highlander (as interpreted by Vogue, which is the closest I've ever gotten. Those photoshoots are always so romantic, and likely have little to do with real life.) When making my list for the challenge, I didn't plan out outfits, but I did try and pick pieces that were both versatile and interesting. I love color and pattern and am glad both feature in my choices. Speaking of choices- I've made a few last-minute swaps (indecisiveness is my best quality), so at some point I will edit my list.
Last night, hubs and I attended a fancy dinner with a bunch of our friends. Since I work on Sundays, I had to change in the museum bathroom (always a fun experience), and realized I left my earrings at home. Right before hailing a cab to head uptown I dashed into a random store and saw these earrings on a $2 sale rack. Score.
