Ok, I may have overdosed on patterns slightly today. I've got stripes, florals and animal print thrown in for good measure. Before I started reading style blogs, the idea of pattern mixing never dawned on me, and now I am positively hooked!
The list:
-pink striped button down, Polo by Ralph Lauren
-floral skirt, Jungal [sic]
-leopard t strap flats, Richard Taylor
-skinny copper belt, Gap
-gold flower earrings, gift from Mom
Cold, rainy and miserable outside means one thing for me: brights and patterns. As usual, I tried to fight the rain with my very own superpower, the power of clothing. Ok, that isn't a great superpower, but I definitely can't fly and my X-ray vision has been on the fritz. Bright clothing it is.
Though it was unconscious, I like how the gold/copper thread runs through the outfit, from the earrings to the belt and on down to the shoes. Does this unite the disparate patterns enough to warrant them being together? I am still not sure, but that didn't stop me.
(Hello, little flowerlings! I can't wait for you to bud and fill my windowsill with color and fragrance. Shoutout to my amazing friends who got me this sweet gift. This was taken last week, when they were still germinating. )

I wore a red flower skirt today too! And brw, your t-strap flats are so cute :)
btw*
oooh I like this! Flowers and stripes always my favorites, I felt like that too, I never thought about mixing prints but now I do it all the time and I like it, the one I still have to try is the double print combo. =D You look great!
Totally excellent pattern mix! The pattern in the top is extremely subtle, and the two patterns in the shoes and skirt have a really happy color marriage.
I love your shoes! What other blogs do you follow? (I just recently started following style blogs, and started my own with my best friend (canonincute.com)) Reading style blogs can be so addictive :)
Insert here --the blogs I read are on my sidebar under "Collection." They're amazing- read away!
