My Sunday walking tours have begun, and yesterday's was great-- except when at the first stop, I accidentally stepped in a puddle of fermented fish refuse. It was absolutely repulsive, but I had an hour and half left of the tour. I pretended nothing happened and kept going. Don't worry, I washed my foot/shoe in boiling hot water and copious amounts of industrial strength sopa as soon as the tour ended. This long story is visually represented by the red shoes, which were not what I was wearing originally. Thank God for shoes left underneath my desk.
I was wearing:
-green dress, H&M
-black cashmere ruffle cardigan, Aeve
-leggings, H&M
-red suede bow flats, Gap
-black and silver scarf, Israel
-trench, Kenneth Cole
-black fuzzy hat, H&M
-green flower pin (attached to hat), Gap
Ok, I tried to open my coat flasher-style to let you see what was underneath, but it didn't work out so well. This dress has become such an integral part of my wardrobe, which is funny since I barely wore it for the first 2 years I owned it. I love how that happens sometimes. This was hopefully the last wear of this season for my ruffled cardigan, but with this weather, who knows? It is light enough to keep me from overheating but provides warmth when needed.

What a horrible, funny, horrible again story! I hope the shoes were salvageable. I love the red shoes with this outfit, though - such a great pop of color.
I agree with the comment above, the red shoes are a great pop of color and that trench is awesome, I love how you wear berets and hats and scarfs they looks good on you. And you look very pretty with glasses too.
i always have shoes underneath my desk too! love the shoes and the trench is so chic!
Oh no! How horrible... I hope the said shoes drenched in fermented fish refuse are doing alright now. I usually bring extra shoes when I am wearing high heels. It's part of the emergency kit when you absolutely need to run for dear life.
Cute hat! :)
love the pops of red and green!
ew, fish refuse. hope it wasn't *too* terrible and that your shoe was okay!
