Maggie May

The usual Friday things: cleaning, catching up on tv, cooking for Shabbos. Thankfully hubs has a study day and we were able to have lunch together, which is always a nice treat.

Today I am wearing:
-Rod Stewart tee, Junk Food (via UO, I believe, a long time ago)
-black cashmere sweater, Wendy B
-camel pleated corduroy skirt, H&M
-black tights
-pewter boots, Ugg
-cheeta ring, F21
-scarf, gift from little sister
-doorknocker earrings, UO
As you can tell, I'm totally digging the in-front-of-bookshelves shots lately. It maximizes the natural light in our sadly dark apartment, and I like the colors of the books in my background. For those who liked them, they are the Sloane leaning bookcases from Crate and Barrel, which we got for a steal on Craigslist. Getting a third is on my list of things to accomplish, since we have books lying all over the apartment. Someday, it will get done.

I rarely wear printed tees, but I do love this one. "Maggie May" might just be my favorite song, and I love how kitschy this tee is. I liked the color mix of the shirt, skirt and cardigan together, and how the scarf picked up on all three.

And apologies to Emily.. sometimes I just need to whip out the Uggs! But I am wearing this rockin pseudo-Cartier ring, does it make up for the lazy footwear?
Grrr!

I want to get better about incorporating more graphic tees into my outfits. This is a great way to do it...might have to follow in your footsteps.

Oh man. I'm the Ugg-hater. How evil of me. I don't have to put up with NYC winter. I do not walk a mile in your shoes, quite literally. Heh. You have to keep your feet warm, I do understand.

My mom loves the Maggie May song. She wanted to name my little brother Maggie, if he had been born a girl. :)

I love how you've style that awesome graphic tee. Love the scarf and earrings!

And how ready are you for all the slush and puddles to be gone from this city? I'm so over them (and the drippy awnings).

Sara- I am very ready for spring. Seriously, enough with the gross snow!

Kimberly- I actually thought of you when I got dressed! You have such a way with the graphic tee, I'm jealous.

LHDM- hmmmm... I think I may just have to. Lighting can strike twice, right?
