A busy day at work means a late blog post today. At least I glittered while working away.
Today I am wearing:
-white button down, Banana Republic
-grey owl sweater, F21
-grey beaded skirt, French Connection
-silver tights, Me Moi
-silver heels, Marc Jacobs
-flower ring, gift from sister (thanks Jess!)
-grey beret, Anthropologie
This skirt is another one I've had since high school, and I can probably count the number of times I've worn it on one hand. I have difficulty pairing it with tops since the color is so strange-- a greyish plumish with silver buttons and deeper grey swirls. I usually try it with black, but today decided that going monotone was probably my best bet, since I've been having luck with that route lately. The button down and more casual sweater made this work-appropriate, while the tights and shoes amped up the silvery glitz. I seriously have an unhealthy addiction to daytime sparkle... at least I haven't tried wearing my gold sequined bolero to work. Yet.
The MJs are a very beloved pair, purchased for my sister's wedding a few years back. I'm a big fan of chunky heels, since stilettos make me want to go barefoot after about half an hour. I like that I can get some height without compromising some modicum of comfort in these.
My sister got this for me as a birthday present last year, and liked it so much that she got a twin for herself. Sadly, I lost the big rhinestone in the center and haven't found the right sized replacement, but I still wear it.
