Today started off snowy, but in mid-afternoon there was a spot of glorious sunshine! I took a walk to Chatham Square and had a little photoshoot outside. It was almost warm enough not to freeze without my coat for those 3 minutes.
Today I am wearing:
-black dress, label illegible
-black skirt (underneath. the dress looked a bit too short today. not sure how that randomly happens), Velvet
-purple high-necked button-down, H&M
-light yellow cardi, Lux (UO)
-black tights
-brown boots, Studio Polini
-purple studded belt, Calvin Klein
-metallic scarf, gift from sister
-black fuzzy hat, H&M
(my 3x self-timer caught this bus in motion!)
Today's outfit consisted of a few light layers, which is my recently-discovered trick to staying warm without adding a huge amount of bulk. Though I do love me some bulky sweaters... just not today. I actually began the day wearing a slightly modified version of what you see here, before I realized that boots were a better idea:

This gives a better sense of what the shirt actually looks like, since I styled the scarf differently in the version I ended up wearing and blocked the neckline. This is such a fun scarf to wear- I love the metallic sheen and the bright colors.
After seeing both options, which version of today's outfit do you prefer?

Oh geez, do I have to pick? The first looks oh-so-sophisticated, but the leopard t-straps are so whimsical and fun. By the way, is that your kitchen? Amazing color on those cabinets!
well, I can't say no to a great pair of boots ... so I'll put a vote in for #1, but both options are lovely! :o)
Thank you for stopping by my blog and commenting! The photography aspect kept me from starting it up earlier, but I figured, better to learn as I go than not do it at all!
I do think I like it with the boots better, but the flats are fun, too... maybe when it gets warmer you can remix this. =)
