Hopefully be reading the title that song hasn't implanted itself on a continually repeating cycle in your brain, as it has mine. Last night I took a trip to Century 21 after work, looking for a pair of camel leather knee-high boots under $250. I was unsuccesful in that mission (damn you, anorexic legs that make every pair of boots into galoshes), but did score two new pairs of shoes: a pair of blat oxford-like flats, which are made of a deliciously soft leather and have excellent padding (always important when I do my walking tours), and a pair of amazing metallic lace-up booties. Seriously- when I saw these on the display case, I think I started to salivate. Realizing that the only pair left in the store was half a size too big, I almost gave up hope but then decided to try them on anyway and- quelle suprise!- they fit. Clearly my outfit today needed to revolve around these miracle shoes.
Today I am wearing:
-light blue glittery cardi, Cynthia Steffe
-white button down, Michael Kors
-grey velvet skirt, again forgot to look at brand but it came from Anthropologie. Was a high-waisted miniskirt that I purchased in a way larger size for length.
-Jeffrey Campbell booties
Today's pictures courtesy of my husband, who was home and awake during my photoshoot. It was certainly more awkward posing while he took shots than when its just me and the camera.
But I think you can still tell how happy I am about the shoes :)
Here they are, in all their glory.
And in case you were curious about the cardigan, hubs decided to take a detail shot of the buttons.
Happy Wednesday, all!
