Giving Thanks

Yep, I am holding a pinecone.

Yesterday I was wearing:
-grey and maroon tee, C &C California
-camel pleated skirt, H&M
-grey sweater, brand cut out (thank you Fox's)
-brown textured tights
-brown flats
-patterned scarf, Target
-brown chain belt
-gold cameo necklace
-fuschia fuzzy hat, H&M

Thanksgiving was a blast, but the triptophans were definitely working on me-- I fell asleep on the couch at 6:30! My outfit was inspired by the colors of fall, and had a nice amount of layers to add/take off as I went from the outside to the warm Thanksgiving table. My younger sister joined me outside for the photoshoot:

She is an amazingly cool dresser, and will be guest blogging for us as soon as she decides on the perfect outfit. She is also my best friend, and I love spending time with her. She kept on randomly jumping around on the patio as my husband took the pictures, leaving me with gems like this:

Here is the necklace, closeup.

For some reason the 5 o' clock shadow on the cover of Time magazine seemed like the perfect backdrop.

My mother only let me photograph her socks, which always add a fun/quirky punch to her outfits.

And I'll leave you all with a picture of mom and sister's handiwork, a turkey made from fruit slices. I was  totally impressed, and I'm sure you will all be too.

Happy post-Turkey day! How did you all spend your holiday?
