Book Club

Tonight was the inaugural meeting of my book club, which is comprised of my closest college friends. We figured this would be a way to see each other on a consistent basis as well as to inject some quality fiction reading into our lives, which tend to be busy with school, work and play. Though some of us were better at actually finishing the reading than others (you know who you are...) a fun time was had by all.

Today I am wearing:
-black cotton tunic, Banana Republic
-brown skirt, Banana Republic
-striped tights
-black suede boots, Ann Taylor Loft
-brown leather and chain belt, H&M
-black fuzzy beret, H&M

Can you see my green nails? I almost took a bite of my finger tonight as I was eating my spinach pizza!

I was feeling the billowiness of the shirt tucked into the belted skirt today. I've been wearing it tucked in in the fall, but tend to let it go loose and long in the summer. This skirt is a great basic which I used to have in navy as well, but lost it to the Shrinking Gods.

Here you can see the fun side detailing of the belt:

And of course, the requisite shoe shot:

I bought these about 4 years ago, and they've held up remarkably well. With a comfortable heel and the great lace detail up the front, these are versatile and well-loved.

My friends, who are all readers of this blog, took outfit shots tonight as well, and as soon as they send in their outfit details (hint, hint) will be featured as guest bloggers. They're a stylish bunch, so stay tuned! I'll leave you with a closeup of the wall decal on the living room of the apartment in which we met tonight, which is home to 3 of my closest friends. What a cheery way to decorate a plain wall!
